Alice in Wonderland is probably the only book that I have ever read more than once. It’s one that even as I’ve gotten older I still love, although if I’m being honest I would much rather sit down and watch the Disney version – reading can be a bit of a struggle for me. But it was my love of Alice in Wonderland that attracted me to this piece. It’s one of my favourite quotes from the book and I just think that it’s amazing how it’s been put onto a recycled silver plated spoon, something that I’ve never seen before. It just made me smile. I then went and had a bit of a look around her shop, there were quite a few things that I would honestly want to buy from there. This keyring was probably my favourite, it made me laugh so much.
Having said that it finding this funny did make me feel slightly childish, but it made me laugh so I don’t think I really care. After yesterdays Lego brick necklace and after looking at what items have been attracting me on Etsy recently, I think I’m going through another one of my bright colours phases. Out of the two I think I prefer the yellow one as it’s slightly brighter. What drew me to these wasn’t the colour it was more the interesting texture of rope, and the tassels, I’m a sucker for tassels.Part of me thinks that I may have already posted a similar set of earrings a couple of months ago, but I think that that highlights how much I like this style. I love the bold graphic style and the combination of the colours. Alice Rebecca Potter is a brilliant illustrator. Her bold simplistic style really appeals to me. I’ve been looking for a printed shopper for a while and this one ranks highly on my list of ones that I’m considering. The rest of the items in her shop are too amazing and again I would buy many of them including this London themed print.
If you want to have a look at more of her work take a look at her website here.
I don’t think that words can explain just how beautiful this ring is. It’s just wow… That’s about all I can say about it. That and there is no way on Earth that I could ever afford this ring. At $298 with $32 shipping to the UK that isn’t exactly what I would call affordable, but if you’ve got the money then I would definitely say get it – I know I would.
I love this ring. It’s just so unique, a definite conversation starter. It’s just amazing. Need I say any more.
I wouldn’t say that my style really includes vintage in it but I think that for this Versace shirt I might be able to make an exception. I really like how the whites not a flat white and that the pattern isn’t in your face, it’s nice and subtle.
I love this type of dress and although when I first saw the print it reminded me of the interior of our families caravan, its really growing on me. It’s one of those things that if I could really justify dipping into my New York Fund for then I would, but I don’t think that I really need it, so instead it’ll stay in my imaginary wardrobe and somebody else will be lucky enough to get it in their wardrobe.
Unlike the last shirt this shirts print has a slightly bolder print, though still not overpowering. Such a shame that I would want it to be a closeish fitting shirt and it’s a medium and would be huge on me.
My limited knowledge of knitting and crocheting would leave me thinking that this amazing bag has been crocheted. Having said that I wouldn’t swear on it and if anybody knows otherwise then feel free to correct me. Anyways this is such a unique bag. I want one so much, as a student I don’t really think that I can afford it but there’s always Christmas.
Out of everything I’ve missed about having no internet connection recently, I think I’ve missed Etsy the most. It feels so good to be back. Instead of working on my College Summer Project that’s due in next week (I know it’s ridiculous that I haven’t even started there and I’ve already got heaps of work to do), I’ve been spending way too many hours window shopping.
If I owned an iPad this would be the case for me. It’s a shame that I don’t really considering how much I love this case. It is something that I’ve considered saving up for several times but at the moment it’s either an iPad or a trip to New York next spring. Somehow I think that New York wins that contest.
With this I really can’t make my mind up as to how much I like it. Part of me loves it but another part, admittedly slightly smaller is saying no. There was definitely an instant attraction there though.
Normally on an every day basis, if I have my own way I have absolutely nothing to do with spiders, I hate the damn things. They move in such an unnatural way and just look freaky. But when it comes to this ring I think I might be able to make an exception. Rings are one of my favourite things in the entire world and the bigger the better. This ring is simply a work of art. As a mere student I can’t afford it but that doesn’t take away from the fact that this is one of the best rings that I have ever seen.
This shirt is just amazing. The colour combination is just perfect, it’s not too light and it’s not too dark. I think this seems like it would make a good DIY job.
This looks like it has the potential to be the softest, most snuggleable (is that a real word) snood ever. And it’s in such a beautiful colour. Shame it’s summer here in England, I’d feel weird buying something intended for cold weather while I’m busy eating ice creams.
It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these posts, with exams and finishing sixth form, its been a bit hectic lately and I just haven’t had the time to sit down in front of Etsy and have a good look round in a while.
These shorts I love so much and when I first found them on Fashiolista, I didn’t even realise that they were on Etsy. The back pocket has a little elephant printed on it, it’s so cute. They’re not cheap though and at £66 without postage, I think that I might have to wait a while before I invest in these, I am still a student.
My opinion on these has always been divided. I’ve seen some that I’ve totally hated, but at the same time I’ve seen some that I’ve loved and I think after seeing this one that I’m leaning towards generally liking them.
These bone hair clips have been tormenting me for weeks now. Every time I see them and don’t get them it breaks my heart a little. The more I think about it though, the more they remind me of The Flintstones.
My sister would love this. Me, it makes me smile. It’s something a little different, but it’s still something that is quite wearable and so wouldn’t be something that you could only wear once with one thing.
Seeing as I’ve just killed my latest bag, I’ve been on the hunt for something that would be big enough for when I start my Foundation at college in September and I have to lug ridiculous amounts across town. This fits that bill perfectly. Well perfectly up until I look at the price once you’ve included postage. Guess I’ll start the hunt again.
I think the whole glasses and moustache thing has been seriously over used recently. I still really love it, it’s just a bit too everywhere for my liking. I do really like this ring and I think part of that is because I haven’t seen it as often on ring as I have on other things and this one has such cute glasses it’s unreal.
So in between my exams and being ill again, I seem to have spent quite a lot of time on Etsy and found a ridiculous amount of things that I want but can’t afford. One of the first things that caught my eye was yet again a pair of shorts that I desperately want. I just love how casual the distressing on them makes them. At this rate I’m gonna end up with a wardrobe filled with denim shorts and nothing else. These are honestly some of the most amazing earrings that I have ever seen. They remind me of the old symbols that they used to use on the old weather forecasts. I think that as much as I’d like the idea of having different earrings in each ear, I’d want two sets so that I could wear a pair of the dame together. I love these tights. I don’t love the price though. If I wasn’t someone who puts holes in tights on an almost daily basis then it wouldn’t be so bad but going through these would get very expensive for me very quickly. They come in some amazing colours, I think these purple and black ones are my favourite ones, though the dark brown into yellow do come a close second. Playsuits tend to be something that I admire from afar. They just aren’t made for people with a short body and long legs. They tend to look a little ridiculous on me, either way too long on the body or obscenely short on the legs. So it’s safe to say that this one I’ll definitely be admiring from afar. I love the print on this though and if it was anything other than a playsuit I would be buying it without question. I can remember making friendship bracelets for all my friends when I was at primary school and it was considered the cool thing to do, but like all ‘cool’ things at primary school one day they were the best things on earth and the next they were nothing. Such a shame. Anyways, I think there will always be a part of me that loves them and who loves the feel of having them go all the way up my arm.
Once again I’ve spent the time that I really should have spent catching up on my exam coursework on Etsy. Here’s some of my favourites.
Even though I already have a ridiculous amount of denim shorts, I can’t quite bring myself to just ignore these. As a student the price of these is slightly scary but when I think about the fact that most of my denim shorts are from Topshop, at about £45 (it’s too early to do maths), there not really all that much more.
I love this necklace and the way that it’s not quite a black. It’s quite a big statement.
I love this shirt so much, the way it looks so soft and slightly shiny is amazing.
Not really my usual cup of tea, but I love the combination of suede and metal. I could quite easily be talked in to buying one.
Another statement necklace, they seem to be one of my favourite things at the moment. On this one I love the three coloured fringe and I think it’s perfect to liven up an outfit. It comes in lots of different colours too.
If I fail my exams I think I’ll know what to blame.
I’ve been looking for something like this for a while now, maybe not in purple but I think the colours growing on me. What I like about this bracelet and the one below, is the combination of textures, I think it gives them a certain uniqueness.
At almost $500 plus shipping to England, I know that there’s no way I can afford this, maybe before I brought my laptop but not now. It looks so happy and friendly, even if it does have two noses and mouths, but who doesn’t love a friendly monster.
This isn’t really my normal style but there’s something about it that’s drawing me in, I think it’s the colour. Lime is one of those colours that I wouldn’t consider to be my favourite but that still seems to be able to make me smile.
