curiouser and curiouserAlice in Wonderland is probably the only book that I have ever read more than once. It’s one that even as I’ve gotten older I still love, although if I’m being honest I would much rather sit down and watch the Disney version – reading can be a bit of a struggle for me. But it was my love of Alice in Wonderland that attracted me to this piece. It’s one of my favourite quotes from the book and I just think that it’s amazing how it’s been put onto a recycled silver plated spoon, something that I’ve never seen before. It just made me smile. I then went and had a bit of a look around her shop, there were quite a few things that I would honestly want to buy from there. This keyring was probably my favourite, it made me laugh so much.

i am fartacus key ringHaving said that it finding this funny did make me feel slightly childish, but it made me laugh so I don’t think I really care.Neon pink knot rope bracelet with tassel charmAfter yesterdays Lego brick necklace and after looking at what items have been attracting me on Etsy recently, I think I’m going through another one of my bright colours phases. Out of the two I think I prefer the yellow one as it’s slightly brighter. What drew me to these wasn’t the colour it was more the interesting texture of rope, and the tassels, I’m a sucker for tassels.Future Stud Earrings - Lime, Silver & NaturalPart of me thinks that I may have already posted a similar set of earrings a couple of months ago, but I think that that highlights how much I like this style. I love the bold graphic style and the combination of the colours. Girl Screen Printed Shopper Free UK ShippingAlice Rebecca Potter is a brilliant illustrator. Her bold simplistic style really appeals to me. I’ve been looking for a printed shopper for a while and this one ranks highly on my list of ones that I’m considering. The rest of the items in her shop are too amazing and again I would buy many of them including this London themed print.

SALE - Kraken Octopus Ring OctopusME Miyu Decay Collaboration

I don’t think that words can explain just how beautiful this ring is. It’s just wow… That’s about all I can say about it. That and there is no way on Earth that I could ever afford this ring. At $298 with $32 shipping to the UK that isn’t exactly what I would call affordable, but if you’ve got the money then I would definitely say get it – I know I would.

August Glossybox

Having spent the last few weeks using the products from this months Glossybox, I’m pretty sure that this is the best one yet. I love it.

The theme of this months box was ‘international superstars’, featuring products from around the world. In mine I got from Germany Alessandro’s Pro White, from Japan DHC Deep Cleansing Oil, from Spain Vera Valenti L’ombre a Paupiere Margarita and from the UK Lipcote. I also got All For Eve For The Eve Appeal Eve’s Balm and the Glossybox Lipstick in Glossy Pink. I quite liked it when I opened my box and found that there was six items as opposed to the usual five.

For some reason it doesn’t look like it in the photo, but, there was eyeshadow everywhere.  It wasn’t all too pretty. Other than that I was quite happy when I opened my box.

On the subject of the eyeshadow, I didn’t like it. It looked cheap, it felt cheap and was just awful in general.

The other product that didn’t exactly float my boat in this box was the cleansing oil. Sure it was nice but I don’t think that it was ‘revolutionary’ as it claimed I would. It felt like it left my face very oily afterwards which has left me thinking that I’ll stick to my regular cleanser.

Lipcote was definitely my favourite product in this months box. It did exactly what it said it would do. It made a huge difference to how long my lipstick lasted – instead of needing to replace it every couple of hours, it comfortably lasted all day at work. The tingly feeling I didn’t think was too bad either, I know some people hated that feeling, but for me it  wasn’t too bad and if it meant it lasted all day – small price to pay.

I didn’t really think that the All For Eve For The Eve Appeal was actually that nourishing for my skin. I did however love the smell of it, it has this gorgeous herbal smell that  is simply amazing. It also was easily absorbed into my skin just as it said it would. And to top it all of the balm helps raise money for gynaecological cancer. So would I buy this again, yes I think I would, probably just for the smell.

The Alessandro Pro White was an amazing product. It really did brighten my nails and gave them a nice shine. One of the things that I’ll have to bare in mind for future is that I really need to make sure that there are no little splatters of black paint on my nails, this product made them unbelievably noticeable. One downside was that I noticed in certain lights it made my nails go a really weird colour, sorta a bluey tinge, it was seriously weird.

The Glossybox lipstick was in my mind a bit of a freebie and with that in my I thought it was an amazing product. I don’t think that the colour looks particularly good on me, it looks a little weird. It is however an amazing colour that I really wished looked good on me, it felt amazing too when I applied it too. I would love this in a slightly different colour, I think I would be first in line to buy it too.

Other than the eyeshadow palette that I’m desperately trying to forget I really liked this months box. Anyone else got any horror stories about this months box?

Out of everything I’ve missed about having no internet connection recently, I think I’ve missed Etsy the most. It feels so good to be back. Instead of working on my College Summer Project that’s due in next week (I know it’s ridiculous that I haven’t even started there and I’ve already got heaps of work to do), I’ve been spending way too many hours window shopping.

Hand Made Distressed Leather iPad iPad 2 or the Newest iPad (3) Case - Can Be Customized to Fit Any Tablet Case

If I owned an iPad this would be the case for me. It’s a shame that I don’t really considering how much I love this case. It is something that I’ve considered saving up for several times but at the moment it’s either an iPad or a trip to New York next spring. Somehow I think that New York wins that contest.

Early 90s Smoke Jacquard Shirt Dress woven geometric horse print Small

With this I really can’t make my mind up as to how much I like it. Part of me loves it but another part, admittedly slightly smaller is saying no. There was definitely an instant attraction there though.

Spider Gear Steampunk Ring

Normally on an every day basis, if I have my own way I have absolutely nothing to do with spiders, I hate the damn things. They move in such an unnatural way and just look freaky. But when it comes to this ring I think I might be able to make an exception. Rings are one of my favourite things in the entire world and the bigger the better. This ring is simply a work of art. As a mere student I can’t afford it but that doesn’t take away from the fact that this is one of the best rings that I have ever seen.

Hand Dip Tie Dyed Blue Ombre Oversized Ladies Summer Boyfriend Shirt Blouse

This shirt is just amazing. The colour combination is just perfect, it’s not too light and it’s not too dark. I think this seems like it would make a good DIY job.

Chunky Knit Dusty Blue Long Infinity Cowl ScarfThis looks like it has the potential to be the softest, most snuggleable (is that a real word) snood ever. And it’s in such a beautiful colour. Shame it’s summer here in England, I’d feel weird buying something intended for cold weather while I’m busy eating ice creams.

I really have missed this.

Blogger Challenge: A failure ?

Today is the first time in what feels like forever that I have had a reliable internet connection. I don’t think that any time in the last few weeks I have been able to keep a connection that will last long enough to get past my homepage. Not much fun. And very frustrating. Especially considering I was in the process of a 31 day blogger challenge, which some would probably consider that I’ve failed.

I think otherwise. I wrote a post for everyday of the month. I was right when I said in my original post that I thought that it’d be good for me. I think it forced me to be a little more creative about the way in which I approached things and it forced me to plan my time a little better than what I normally would do. I am a little disappointed that I haven’t been able to share every post but I think that I’m going to try and get some of my favourites up over the next couple of weeks or so.

Day 7 : Your Favourite Print

I think that out of all the printed items that I own this is probably my favourite at the moment. It’s from a New Look dress that I got a few months back for my Nan’s retirement party and I think that it was about £25.

I always think that it’s such a shame that I don’t wear this very often, but it’s hand wash only and I tend to save up things so that I can do it all in one go, so it might take a month or two before I even wash it. The only other problem that I have with this dress is that it’s a little longer in the body than I would like – I’m really short in the body for my height – but I guess that that’s something that I’m going to have to live with.

Day 6 : Your Best Bargain

So okay, I know you’ve already seen this picture from this post, but this ring has to be my best bargain. It’s from one of the very few trips that I have made into Primark, I think that I got it sometime around Christmas for only a pound. Absolute bargain. I was honestly prepared for it to fall apart or something similar quite quickly after I got it, but more than seven months of regular wear later and it’s still as good as new. I’m proud of it, most of my more expensive rings tend to look a little worse for wear after this amount of time.

I have a feeling that when I got it, it was one o’clock on a Saturday afternoon and I decided that if I was going to wait in the queue with my friend then I needed to actually be buying something. This ring and the other ring from Primark in this post are the result of that. Both of which I think are absolutely amazing.

Day 5 : Most Wanted Item

I think that these Topshop shoes have to come top of my list of most wanted things. Well either them in this colour or them in black, I’m not too sure. Black would probably go with more but I think the burgundy colour is nicer. At the moment I’m leaning towards the burgundy. I’ve been looking for the perfect pair of these for a while now and I think that come payday next week I think I’ll be investing in a pair.
