Generally I’m not a jewellery person, but I absolutely love statement rings. Some people have huge collections of stamps or cuddly toys, but for me it’s the rings that do it. I have a ridiculous amount of them, I will often go out for something vital and find that when I get home that I didn’t get what I needed and that instead I brought another ring (or two).
While I was finishing my textiles essay I managed to get a little distracted and started to have a look to see what was about. If I had to pick my favourite one though it would have to be the sunglasses, nose and moustache one (bottom left) from Topshop that costs £10. It’s one of those things that just seeing made my day.

Although the bag that I use changes regularly, what’s actually in it often stays the same as I will literally just tip the contents of it into my new bag. My current bag of choice is this one that I got from New Look in the summer. Even though it’s starting to look slightly worse for wear, it’s the one I keep going back to and if I’m being honest I like that it doesn’t look perfect any more – to me it makes it feel more loved.
As for what’s inside, I managed to surprise myself. I was expecting a ridiculous amount of rubbish, old bus tickets and the like, but I only found two bus tickets both from last week.
Inside I have a Norwich City Centre and a Tube map both of which must have been in there for a good few months, my inhaler, car keys, purse and sunglasses. The 2012 diary that was this years attempt at being more organised. My make up bag and the amazing lip butter that my friend got from The Body Shop for Christmas that works wonders. A very late Christmas present for my friend, my HTC Wildfire and my iPod that hasn’t had headphones for over a year. I always have a couple of black Bics as I can’t stand writing in anything else and the Pritt Stick that’s become essential for my A Level courses. And last but not least I have an emergency rain poncho that I brought in Waterstones for a couple of pounds last month which seemed like a good idea at the time. Now I’m not so sure about it but it still makes me smile so it’ll probably stay in their for a while longer.
It’s common knowledge amongst my friends that I have a serious love hate relationship with Topshop, sometimes I feel that it has some of the worlds most amazing things in there and other times I can’t stand what they’re selling. Having just been in there I can safely say that I’m back in love with them again.
Not overly sure why the sudden obsession with grey is about, normally I tend to gravitate towards the brighter colours. Anyways, I’m loving the casual feel to these items and how you could just chuck them on and go.
I’ve known about Etsy for a while now, one of my friends is obsessed with it, but I’d never really had a look round. When I did though I was actually quite surprised about the variety of things that were on there.
One of the things that I was particularly impressed with was just how accurate the results of the taste test were. There was a couple of things that I didn’t really like but if I could I probably would have brought the vast majority of it.
These three were defiantly my favourites.
